List of countries and eIDs supported in the Dokobit portal

In this article, you can find out which countries, e-signature levels, and e-identification tools (or eIDs for short) are supported in the Dokobit portal.

Supported countries

A Dokobit account can be registered by using one of the supported eID tools that are provided in the following countries:

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.

Supported e-signature levels

Before you move on to the next section to take a look at the table of supported eID tools, be sure to get familiar with the following e-signature levels that are supported in the Dokobit portal.

○ Simple Electronic Signatures (SES)

They are the most basic electronic signatures that do not require strong signer authentication. At Dokobit, SES are created by collecting the evidence that the person has consented to sign the document with an SMS one-time password and adding an e-seal on that document to confirm their consent.

○ Advanced Electronic Signatures (AdES)

AdES is an authentication-based signature. Based on the requirements of the eIDAS regulation, it is uniquely linked to a signer by including the required evidence to prove the signing action. This kind of signature can be considered strong evidence in legal proceedings.

○ Advanced Electronic Signatures based on a Qualified Certificate (AdES/QC)

Unlike AdES, AdES/QC contains a certificate for electronic signatures that is issued by a qualified Trust Service Provider and meets the requirements laid down in Annex I of eIDAS.

○ Qualified Electronic Signatures (QES)

A QES is an  AdES/QC that has, in addition, been created with a Qualified Electronic Signature Creation Device (QSCD). A QES can be considered a digital equivalent of a handwritten signature with the same legal effect. It is recognized in all member states of the EU.
