Downloading the App

Dokobit app for Android requires Android 5.0 or up. You can download the app directly from the Google Play Store or by clicking here


Creating an account and logging in

On the app's main page, you can either create a new account or log in to an existing one.

If you would like to create a new account, press “Sign up” at the bottom of your screen. You will then be asked to verify your identity using one of the supported electronic identification tools.

Note: the app currently supports Estonian, Icelandic, and Lithuanian Mobile-ID, Latvian eParaksts mobile, as well as Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian Smart-ID.

After choosing an identification tool, follow the instructions you see on the screen.

To log in to an existing account, simply select your country on the right top corner of the screen and then choose your identification tool, or choose the identification tool from the menu.

To log out from your account, simply open the sidebar menu and click “Log out” at the bottom of the menu.


Using the App

Below are some quick instructions on how to easily navigate the Dokobit App.

Uploading a document

Once you log in to your account, either press on the “+” button at the bottom of the screen or choose “Upload new document” from the sidebar menu on the left side of the screen.

You will then be able to choose the document format, upload the document from your phone, change the name of the document as well as modify settings such as annotation position (if the document is in PDF format), if the document can only be signed with a qualified electronic signature, show or hide the personal code in the annotation (available for paid plan users only), signing deadline, add participants to the document, choose the participant’s role or add a message to the participants.

After choosing the appropriate settings, click on ”Create“ to save the document for signing. If you would like to cancel uploading the document, you can press on ”X“ at the top left corner of the screen during the upload process.

Signing a document

Once you upload the document, you will be able to sign it straight away by pressing “Sign”. You also have the option to edit the participants' list, view the document, decline to sign the document, or delete it.

If you have been invited to sign a document, you can either click on the link in the invitation email and you will be directed to the App, or you can just simply find the document in the “Documents” section of the App.

Validating a document

To validate an already signed document, you need to press “Validate” in the dashboard or choose “Validate document” from the sidebar menu.

You will then need to upload the document you want to check, select an appropriate signature validation policy and click on “Validate”.

Once the document is validated, you will be able to see if the document is valid, the signature and its certificate information, and the content of the document.

Viewing documents in your account

In the “Documents” section of the App, it is possible to view all the documents that are in your account. You can either choose to view all of the documents, or filter them out by signed, waiting to be signed by you or other parties, and overdue.

Here you are also able to view each document, sign it, view the options that were chosen during the upload process, view or leave a comment, and check the audit trail.

Profile settings

In this section, you can change your profile and billing settings.

In the “Profile” tab, it is possible to change your personal details, such as email address, phone number, email notification, signature annotation language, etc. You are also able to control what email notifications you would like to receive.

In the “Billing” tab you can see your current subscription plan’s information (user limit, monthly usage counter reset date etc.), usage statistics (document storage space and signature usage during the current billing period). You are also able to change your billing details, add or remove your credit card and see the invoices that have been issued for your account.

Switching between accounts

In case you have more than one account with Dokobit, you can easily switch between them by going to the sidebar menu and clicking on your name at the top of the screen.
